We sold our Santa Gertrudis and Brangus cattles in early 2006 due to high cost on hay and grain, not counting on hard labor to maintain them.  We began to search for an alternative and came across those miniature Zebu (Brahma).  However, We were not very impressed with the hump, long ears, and poor conformation.  May be we didn't look hard enough for better ones.  However, we saw our neighbors brought in their standard Hereford cattles and got interested in white face and red color cattle.  We also so impressed with how they were so gentle to deal with.  We began to search for miniature cattles on the internet and found a few Miniature Hereford Breeders in Houston surrounding areas.  After lengthy time of searching, we finally found ourselve a nice herd of Miniature Hereford, especially with a very small and nice young Miniature Hereford bull.  And just like they said, Miniature Hereford is just like chocolate, once you have one, you keep on buying. 

After talking to our vet, we decided to get older Miniature Hereford cows to begin with because of easy and experienced calving. Well, they were right, the calves were so small that the cows didn't have any troubles at all.  We have total nine calves on the ground this year that we didn't even have to do anything or even to assist.  It's just very exciting to come out everyday to the pasture and got supprised with a new calve.  Well, as you know, the excitement continued to persist everyday of our life.  And we love our miniature hereford more and more each day. Life just can't be any better.  Go for Miniature.  MINIATURE HEREFORD!  

In 2010 we began to cross our Lowline bull with our Miniature hereford and the results were wonderful with our black miniature bauldies.  They are much more high yield than the hereford themselve.  They are easy calving and having great mother instinct.  Well, as you can see, we are adding more varieties to our list each day and love them all.   Please see our Miniature Cattle link pictures of our herd.
